Phalcon 1.2.4 RC2 released [final released]

In addition to 2.0, the Phalcon Team is also focused on 1.3, a new version that will include new features, important improvements in the overall memory usage and new components like Phalcon\Image.

Today, we are announcing the release candidate of Phalcon 1.2.4, a maintenance release including several bug fixes, performance improvements and stability fixes available in the 1.3.0 branch.

This version does not include any new features. The complete CHANGELOG (https://github.com/phalcon/cphalcon/blob/1.2.4/CHANGELOG)​ is ​here.

Windows users can download a DLL from the download page.

We welcome your comments regarding this new release in Phosphorum. If you discover any bugs, please (if possible) create a failing test and submit a pull request, alongside with an issue on Github.

Hi to all,

What is current roadmap for 1.2.4 and 1.3.0 ?

We're going to use Phalcon for a complete rewrite of our frontend, and if there are new features like Phalcon\Image it's very interesting, but it really depends on the time frame for these releases.

Hi Olivier, our roadmap is mostly defined according to issues posted on Github labeled as NFR https://github.com/phalcon/cphalcon/issues?state=open . Currently, we don't have a release date for 1.3.0 since it highly depends on the volunteer efforts of core developers and contributors. Feel free to install that version and tell us if you find out any problem.
