Is it more stable than the current 2.1 on PHP7?
I have no idea. But in 2.x versions you have many new things and you can add something new easy if you need in core. In 1.x it's pretty tough.
Just wait for php7 support in 2.1, in final realase it should be fully supported.

being written by a chinese I don't really trust it. It might be a scam or have some ways to steal your data. Chinese software has quite a bad reputation. Better stick with official versions which are continuously improved and safe
