Implement Select2 Plugin on a drop-drop menu select.

I have trouble implementing Select2 Plugin on a drop-down menu select. Can someone go over the steps? I have tagged the the includejavascript and stylesheetlink and applied the script to the ID of the drop-down menu select in the View but doesnt' do anything.
