After adding 'extension = phalcon.so' to the php.ini file, the apache server does not start again.

After adding 'extension=phalcon.so' to my php.ini file, I get such an error when restarting my Apache server.

"Job for apache2.service failed because the control process exited with error code. See "systemctl status apache2.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details."

Thank you for your help!

Could you copy the result of "systemctl status apache2.service" and "journalctl -xe" ?

What about this?

journalctl -u php-7.2-fpm.service -xe

(substitute your installed PHP version)

What about this?

journalctl -u php-7.2-fpm.service -xe

(substitute your installed PHP version)

This command gave an output as follows: "-- No entries --"

What version of PHP do you think I should use? I'm using PHP 7.0 now.

Can you try to remove phalcon.so from the ini and try to start apache (and php-fpm if you're not using the apache module). I'm not sure if this is phalcon related.

I've tried. The apache server is running when I delete Phalcon.so

Made a typo, so then for you it should be:

journalctl -u php7.0-fpm.service

Unfortunately I got the same result. Please help. I'm going crazy now.
