Why is it that when I try to create an autocomplete text field in volt it is not working? I have tried the jquery and typehead. both are not working. is there something I am missing?

you are missing to give us some more information about the problems you've got: how do your view and controller code looks like, the kind of errors you've got and so on ;-)
and is the same process in the script as in normal php where you call the id of the element and the data you send, as you send the data if you use a model
